Starting of Rohit Sharma
It all started in 2007 World T20 when an injured Yuvraj Singh was substituted at the last minute to play in a league match against the hosts. the 20-year-old strode out into Kingsmead and stroked his way to a fluent half-century against the likes of Pollock, Ntini, and Morkel as though he was having a net session after the Indian innings got off to a slow start. In order to survive until the end of the innings and guide India to a respectable total that they eventually defended, he displayed startling maturity under pressure. As a result, South Africa was eliminated from the tournament in their own backyard.
In his early phase his inconsistency resulted him not fixed positon in Indian Team. From struggling in playing short ball to one best short ball player. You would have often seen him hitting sixes of the short ball in the starting phase of the match. he has master short ball so much that it seems he would hit all day it for six.
